Season review: Richard Geyer

"Having narrowly missed the overall victory last time, I now want to get the trophy back", said Richard Geyer in November 2017 about his plans for the 2017/18 season of Drift On Ice. Now, barely four months later, he can say beyond doubt that he has succeeded in this endeavor. "I had a very good season with many exciting races. At every event, the result was at least second place. Overall, I am more than satisfied with the course of the 6th PRO-TEC Cup and, of course, overjoyed about the title. Therefore, a big thank you goes to the whole team!"

Short overview:

Highlights and lowlights

"Although I only landed in second place in this race, the final in Dresden was my biggest highlight of the season. Because this result was enough to achieve the overall victory before my teammate Ronny Weis. Thereby, I got the title in the presence of all my relatives, friends and acquaintances, because for me Dresden is almost my home race. Absolutely great!"

As ebullient as the season highlight is the helplessness in finding a lowlight. "Actually, there is nothing that went wrong. Everything worked perfectly in the 6th PRO-TEC Cup. My bike did not let me down. My strategy went up every time – everything was great!"

"PRO-TEC is my constant companion. I am glad that I can always rely on the highly effective lubricants. So I am able to concentrate on driving because I know that I do not have to worry about the technology. I especially use the chain spray, the Super-Lubricant and the Nano Engine Protect & Seal, because the effectiveness has absolutely convinced me."

Future plans

As for the plans for the upcoming season, Richard Geyer already has clear ideas: "Of course, I want to defend my title in 2018/19. For this I will start early with the preparations, so that I can already compete in the first race with a perfect setup. Especially for the starts there is still some potential for optimization. I am curious what else can be made of the technology!"

The bluechemGROUP would like to thank Richard Geyer for the interview and for the exciting season!
