Drift On Ice: Dresden
It starts again! On the following Monday (October 31, 2016, 2 pm), the opening race of Drift On Ice 2016/17 will take place at the EnergieVerbund Arena in Dresden. The legendary ice series is thus returning to the exact spot for the start of the season, where on February 21, 2016 the grand finale 2015/16 took place. At that time, our emerging talent Richard Geyer gained a victory in all the races with confidence and thus won the 4th PRO-TEC Cup, too. Whether he will also leave the international competition behind him at the start of the new season, or whether his team colleague Ronny Weis is making a dash, will show on Monday when it is once again time for hot action on a mirror-smooth ground!
Premiere in the side program
As in the past season with the sidecars, there will be again something new in the side program of Drift On Ice. For the first time, there will be quads on the ice. Equipped with spikes and – in contrast to the motorcycles – brakes, they will offer the audience spectacular races and a lot of excitement. "This will definitely be an eye-catcher, I am sure!", promises our PRO-TEC driver and co-organizer Ronny Weis. In addition, the 50cc kids will also be on the ice, including Bruno Thomas, who is the reigning German schoolmaster on sand.
No stress with Team PRO-TEC
Our two speedway aces Ronny Weis and Richard Geyer are completely relaxed before the first race. "During the last training session before Monday, we checked again our setup. Everything has worked, everything is fine – we are satisfied and ready for the race", explains Ronny Weis. When asked whether a certain competition is already noticeable before the start of the season, both of them reply with a smile: "We just let the first race come to us. Everything is still open; there is no pressure – the hard battles can wait until the final phase!"
The bluechemGROUP wishes Team PRO-TEC a lot of success for the season start of Drift On Ice!
