Clear win for the Meissen Hornets

Green light in the last second: It almost did not happen again that the German Speedway star Martin Smolinski would start in the Speedway Team Cup for the Meissen Hornets. After the final examination, the doctors gave their okay for the race on Sunday (July 08, 2018) in the Meissen home stadium. "We were really lucky that Martin had recovered so quickly after his two crashes that he was able to support us. He has impressively proven his skills on the track. He truly belongs to the top international elite!" praises Ronny Weis, our PRO-TEC driver, the performance of Martin Smolinski.

A clear decision

With a total of 44 points and a clear lead, the Meissen Hornets won in front of about 1,000 enthusiastic fans. In second place landed the MSC Olching with 35 points. Rank 3 and 4 went to the Neuenknick Hexen (24 points) and the Landshut Young Devils (11 points). "I am very pleased with this result, although it was not necessarily my merit. I really did not get into the race this time and could not find the right setup. Fortunately, Martin Smolinski, Richard Geyer and Lukas Wegner had a good race!", summarizes Ronny Weis the race. He adds: "As for the title fight, everything is still open – I am looking forward to the next rounds!"
